Pick up from your hotel or airport and commence your journey towards the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, you'll make stops at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and Narok town, where you'll enjoy a leisurely lunch break. Upon arrival at the reserve, embark on a captivating game drive with your experienced driver/guide, allowing you to track and observe various animal species and a plethora of birds in their natural habitat. Finally, return to your reserved camp for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. Masai mara is renowned for its high animal concentration and abundance. Black maned lions, elephants and buffalo can be seen (3 out of the big 5) though luck is essential for spotting leopard and rhino, which make the other two. The reserve is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti national park and is home to numerous plains game including wildebeest, common zebras and the Masai giraffe as well as antelopes like Thompson’s gazelle, Dik-dik, hartebeest and impala among others. You will have a break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool where hippos are in view and with luck, crocodiles. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Alternatively, you may wish to take to the skies with an optional hot air balloon safari at dawn. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the park and the sunrise from 1,000 feet before descending to enjoy a champagne breakfast on the savannah.
Following breakfast, set out on your journey towards Lake Nakuru National Park. This lake is renowned for its populations of flamingos, but it is also home to a diverse array of other bird species. In addition to the avian inhabitants, Lake Nakuru provides a habitat for various small game species, including Waterbuck, Impala, Gazelle, and Buffalo. Notably, the park serves as a sanctuary for both the white and black rhino. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge you have booked.
Following breakfast, set out for a thrilling game drive in this park, renowned globally as the ultimate ornithological extravaganza! Subsequently, depart after the game drive and proceed to Lake Naivasha. You will arrive at the campsite in time for lunch. The lake is a haven for bird enthusiasts and is also home to a significant hippo population. You have the option to enjoy a sunset boat ride (additional cost) to observe the hippos at Crescent Island. Finally, round off your day with a satisfying dinner and an overnight stay at the booked hotel.
Begin your day with an early breakfast, then proceed to Hell's Gate National Park. This unique park offers the distinctive opportunity to explore it on a bicycle, allowing you to observe the wildlife while pedaling along. You have the option to rent a bicycle and follow the trails frequented by zebras and other animals, though this comes at an additional cost. Additionally, Hell's Gate National Park provides opportunities for rock climbing and hiking within the Hell's Gate Gorges. As your game drive concludes, you can enhance your safari experience by embarking on a boat ride at Lake Naivasha, where you'll have the chance to admire the presence of hippos in their natural habitat. Subsequently, you will depart from Lake Naivasha and make your way to Amboseli, pausing for lunch en-route. Upon your arrival, you will check in at the campsite you have reserved.
Indulge in a full day of exploration within Amboseli National Park, nestled beneath the imposing presence of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain. On clear days, the park offers a spectacular backdrop with the majestic peak of Kilimanjaro visible. This remarkable setting, created solely by the forces of nature, serves as the perfect stage for the wildlife spectacle that unfolds in Amboseli.
As you journey to the park, you'll have the opportunity to spot wildlife along the way, traversing plains where the Masai tribesmen tend to their cattle, preserving age-old traditions. Lunch will be savored at the campsite situated within the park.
Afterward, embark on another exhilarating game drive, where you may encounter lion, cheetah, as well as the impressive elephant and hippo populations, often found bathing in the swampy areas nourished by the waters of Kilimanjaro. As an optional activity, you can partake in a tour to the Masai villages, immersing yourself in their unique culture and traditional way of life. Enjoy traditional dances and engage with the renowned and courageous Masai Morans, resplendent in their distinctive attire and armed with spears. Dinner and overnight at booked tented camp
After breakfast, proceed for your final game drive. An early lunch will be taken then depart for Nairobi in the evening.
