At 8 o'clock, your hotel pickup within Nairobi city center will mark the beginning of your journey to Masai Mara, passing through the captivating Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Here, you'll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the rift valley's floor. Lunch will be served on the way. In the afternoon, after your check-in process is complete, you'll embark on a thrilling game viewing drive within the Mara Reserve. Later, return to the camp to indulge in a delectable buffet dinner, followed by ample time for relaxation booked camp.
The Masai Mara Reserve stands as Kenya's premier tourism destination, nestled within the Great Rift Valley and characterized by vast expanses of open grassland. The reserve's western escarpment is particularly rich in wildlife. It's often referred to as Kenya's crown jewel for wildlife viewing, with the annual wildebeest migration being one of its most extraordinary spectacles. This migration involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Visitors here rarely miss the opportunity to spot the Big Five, making the Masai Mara Reserve a truly phenomenal wildlife wonder.
Following breakfast, we will commence a full-day expedition of wildlife viewing within the reserve. The landscape in this region features picturesque savannah grasslands on undulating hills. The reserve is distinguished as Kenya's premier game park due to its extensive network of roads and tracks, enabling close-range wildlife observation and photography. As midday approaches, we'll pause for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, where you can keep an eye out for hippos and crocodiles.
Alternatively, if you're seeking an extraordinary adventure, you have the option to embark on a hot air balloon safari at dawn. This experience will treat you to a spectacular view of the park and a breathtaking sunrise from an altitude of 1,000 feet, followed by a champagne breakfast on the savannah upon descent. Dinner and overnight at booked camp.
Following breakfast, we will leave the Mara region and head towards Nakuru. While on the journey, we'll pause for lunch along the way. During the drive, you'll be treated to picturesque vistas of Mt. Longmont and Lake Naivasha in the distance along the main highway. For dinner and accommodation, we will be staying at a budget hotel with self-contained rooms.
Enjoy an early morning breakfast, and by 7 am, you'll embark on a direct journey to the park. This compact park boasts magnificent and rare white rhinos, adding to the allure of the Big Five animals. Moreover, there's a chance to catch a glimpse of the striking pink flamingos. The game drive spans a duration of 3 hours, following which you'll commence a 3-hour drive back to Nairobi, arriving at approximately 3 pm. Your drop-off point will be either at the city center or your hotel located within the city center.
