Destination Kenya
This safari provides ample opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the captivating wildlife and natural marvels of what could be considered the most exceptional game park globally. The Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for its spectacular showcases of wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant indigenous culture. A visit to the Mara is akin to experiencing Africa in its essence. Moreover, the Masai Mara is the epicenter of the Great Migration, where numerous herds of wildebeest and zebras traverse the Savannah in an unforgettable wildlife spectacle found nowhere else on Earth.
After your breakfast, our personal driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to our departure point where you will join the rest of the group. Commence our journey by 8.00am to Masai Mara, located to the southwest and renowned as the "ultimate game viewing destination in the world." This region is home to the largest wildebeest migration, spanning two countries. As we proceed, we'll descend into the Great Rift Valley, making our initial stop to capture the magnificent scenery below through photographs.
Continuing on our route, we'll pass by maize and wheat plantations, leading to our next stop at Narok town, a significant Masai Administrative Center. Our journey will then take us further south until we reach 0ur booked camp, where lunch awaits. At 4:00 pm, prepare for an afternoon game drive in this pristine and unparalleled "big game country." Finally, you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at Miti Mingi Eco Camp. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250 kilometers.
After breakfast, you will proceed for a full day of game viewing at Mara hosts an amazing concentration of wildlife. You are guaranteed to see the Big 5. Lions abound throughout the park as do leopards, cheetah, hyenas, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, topi, baboons, warthogs, buffalo, zebra, elephants, and of course hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River. You will have your picnic lunch at the Hippo pool. Dinner and overnight will be at the campsite.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.
Another complete day awaits you at the Masai Mara National Reserve. On this day, you will venture along various routes in pursuit of encounters with majestic big cats and the thrill of observing their hunting behaviors. You will have the opportunity to relish unrestricted game drives across the undulating grasslands adorned with iconic flat-topped acacia trees. Additionally, there will be an option to visit a Masai village, where you can immerse yourself in their authentic and untouched culture.
Indulge in a hearty breakfast before completing your camp checkout at Masai Mara National Reserve before embarking on your journey back to Nairobi, marking the conclusion of the tour.
